The Kyneton Community Playground is a large project for which we will be seeking ongoing funding from a variety of sources including council, state and federal governments, philanthropic trusts, local and corporate businesses and community based fundraising efforts.
Tiered sponsorship
We have developed a tiered sponsorship system to promote the generosity of local businesses and community organisations that support our project. The four levels of sponsorship are:
- Gold – $5000
- Silver – $2000
- Bronze – $1000
- Friends – $500
The names of sponsors will be listed on a permanent “Thank-you” board located at the entrance of the Park on completion and will also be featured on our website. In addition, we will provide a Certificate of Appreciation to all of our supporters. All funds raised will go toward the construction of the Park.
There are other ways you may prefer to help, including smaller or anonymous cash donations and in-kind support such as labour, materials and services. All help is very much appreciated!
Please do not hesitate to contact us to talk about ways you can contribute to this future legacy in our town.

Grants
Public Records Office Victoria:
Victoria 175 project
The Kyneton Community Park group, in partnership with the Kyneton Historical Society is proud to announce their success in obtaining a grant ($8900) from the Public Records Office Victoria (PROV), for the “Victoria 175 project”. Read more about the PROV grant and “Steps Through Time” project.
Zonta International, Kyneton
The Kyneton Community Park group would like to express their gratitude to the Zonta Club of Kyneton for their very generous donation of $1000 toward the cost of childcare for the group. As the current committee comprises largely mothers of young children, these funds have enabled us to have meetings during the day and attend workshops or give presentations, whilst our children are safely supervised.
Macedon Ranges Shire Council – Community Funding Scheme 2010
The group has been awarded a grant of $2800 to put towards holding a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party to celebrate the values of the park. We thank the Council for their continued support and hope the event is enjoyed by many Shire residents.
Macedon Ranges Shire Council – Community Funding Scheme, 2009
Having formed out of a working group of the Strengthening Families Project of Cobaw Community Health, the Kyneton Community Park group only became an incorporated entity in 2009. The KCP Inc was awarded $2500 in the 2009 MRSC Community Funding Scheme. The funds have been used toward the start-up costs of the group, including incorporation fees, common seal and registration to “Easy Grants”, the community sector funding alert service. In addition, the funds provided for the printing of the beautiful “Everybody’s Space” banner, which we use at all public events and the creation of this website. We thank the Shire for their support.
Federal Government Volunteer Grants Scheme, 2009
The Federal Government, through FASCHIA, have introduced the Volunteer Granting Scheme: the aim of which is to support volunteers and encourage participation in volunteer-driven organisations. The KCP group was successful in attracting nearly $3500 for our volunteers. The money has gone toward equipment to be used at public events (e.g. BBQ, outdoor tables and chairs, portable whiteboard, esky) and safety equipment for the group to use on site (first aid kit, safety boots, flouro jackets and KCP T-shirts). We thank FASCHIA for their support and commend them on a terrific scheme.
