Four members of the KCP committee (Sarah Turner, Kathryn Portelli, Michelle Cox and Amy Cockroft) were among about 120 members of the community who attended the inaugural Kyneton Conference at the Town Hall. This event was hosted by Kyneton Connections with support from Macedon Ranges Shire Council, COBAW and Zonta. The conference was an opportunity for people of Kyneton and District to have their say on what the town should be like in 2 years time and begin to think about how these ideas can be actioned. The day was wonderfully facilitated by Peter Kenyon, an internationally renowned expert in community development. The third most popular idea from the day’s discussions was the desire to have an outdoor place for the community to come together.
